MTB First Aid

Mountain biking is awesome, but there is a little danger involved and sometimes things go sideways. Do you know what to if someone falls and hits their head or breaks their arm? Could you handle your own injuries out on the trail? If not, then we've got a class for you!

FORBA is honored to have two talented instructors for this class! Dr. Chris Davis and Dr. Chris Peluso are local doctors with Wake Forest Baptist Health. Dr. Davis is Assistant Professor for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Associate Director of the Wilderness Medicine Fellowship.  Dr. Peluso also trained in Emergency Medicine and a current Wilderness Medicine Fellow. Both are highly skilled in outdoor emergency situations. They are highly skilled in outdoor emergency situations.

During this class, participants will learn how to deal with:

• Sprains/strains and fractures

• Control major bleeding

• Head injuries
