Over the years, Hobby Park's mountain biking trails have gone through a series of changes. New trails, including Little Pisgah, as well as FORBA's (Forsyth Off-Road Bicycling Association) adoption of the trail system, have made Hobby Park a popular spot for mountain bikers, runners and hikers. The newest change for Hobby is a section of trail in the Northeast corner that passes onto private property. While this section has been used without complaint over the years, noticeable pink flags have now been added by a private consultant to the trees, marking this boundary and will be affected by logging, sooner or later. FORBA will reroute this section to the old route, which currently has wooden pallets placed over a small creek area. The pallets would be replaced with a 30-40 ft bridge thus doing away with erosion/mud issues that currently exist. Fundraising for the bridge is in its early stages and we could use your help!
