What do we want? Signs!

Updated: Nov 16, 2018

When do we want them? As soon as reasonably possible!

The Forsyth Off Road Bicycle Associate (FORBA) is working with Forsyth County Parks & Recreation on a project to improve signage at Horizons Park MTB trails. We are calling on the MTB community to raise $550 to purchase signage for along the trail as well as a large trail map to be installed at the trailhead.

If you have ridden out at Horizons you know there are lots of loops with inadequate signage which make it hard for new riders to navigate. Plus, there is no trail map at the trail or online. Through this project we will create a legit trail map which will be printed on a large metal sign and installed at the trail head, it will also be available for reference online, and we will place clear signage along the trail. Forsyth County Recreation and Parks has approved this project and FORBA’s coordination of volunteers to get it done. We just need the money!

We need to raise the $550 by October 31 so we can purchase materials and have get them before the November 17 trail workday when signage will be installed. Update: we raised enough money to go ahead and purchase the Carsonite trail signs and will be installing them on December 1. We only need about $250 more to make the trailhead sign a reality. Whether you can contribute a little or a lot we hope you will chip in and help make this major improvement to one of our local trails.

Thank You!
